Robert W. Bob Partain

Hephzibah, GA---Mr. Robert W. “Bob” Partain, Jr., 85, husband of 60 years to Ruth M. Partain, entered into rest on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital of Augusta.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm tomorrow Monday, November 19, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend David Marsh officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the U. S. Army.
Mr. Partain, the son of the late Robert Winton Partain, Sr. and Sadie Swearingen Patain, was a native of Augusta, Georgia and was a lifetime resident of the Augusta area. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army. He retired after 40 years service, in outside sales, from the Hajoca Corporation. He was a former Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Hephzibah Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class. Mr. Partain was dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, survivors include, his son, Robert W. Partain III and wife, Lisa of Grovetown, GA, daughters, Mary P. Ruppert and Lee Ann Partain, both of North Augusta, SC, sister, Claire P. Browning of Augusta and three grandchildren, Emily Partain, Tristan Partain and Jamie Murfee and husband, Tommy and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends this evening Sunday, November 18, 2012, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
