Robert Thomas Bob Wilson

Augusta,GA.- Mr. Robert “ Bob” Thomas Wilson, age 78, husband of Mrs. Mary Ann Wilson entered into rest at the Medical College of Georgia on Wednesday, July 22, 2009.

Survivors include, one daughter, Cynthia Queen of Appling, sisters, Patricia DeGenere of Madison,GA. Jacqueline Hill of Jonesboro,GA. brothers, Donald Wilson of Ocala,FL and Wesley Wilson of Seattle,WA. Granddaughters, Brianna Queen of Appling and Monica Wilson of Macon,GA. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Louisa and Harold Markus Wilson of Connecticut, his sister, Joan Cella of Wallingford,CT and his only son Harold Mark Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was born in West Haven,CT, he lived in Appling for the past 14 years. He graduated from Clinton Community College and SUNY in Plattsburg,NY. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force and he also served in the U.S. Army. He worked in the Georgia Department of Education for 14 years. He loved being outdoors and was an accomplished woodworker. Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he had a large circle of friends around the world. He traveled to many places in his long military career. He was very loved and will be deeply missed. Respecting his last wishes and love of his home, he will be interred in a closed private ceremony on the family land.
