Robert Lee Hassan

Mr. Robert Lee Hassan, 86, beloved husband of Elissa Hassan, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at University Hospital.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. John Johnson officiating. Burial was at Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Hassan, a native of New Castle, PA., was an Army veteran of World War II, stationed in Germany. He was a graduate of New Castle High School and attended Virginia Military Institute. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Elissa, he is survived by his sons, Rob Hassan and Dominic Pregi (Mena), his daughters, Valarie Pliaconis (David), Becky Hardy (Kevin), and Dr. Angela Fisher (Dr. David), his brothers, Eugene Hassan, Dr. James Hassan and Albert L. Hassan, his sister in law, Concetta Hassan, his six grandchildren, and a nephew and numerous nieces. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Marie Hassan, his parents, Ahmed and Josephine Klam Hassan, a sister, Bette Abate, a Brother, Charles Hassan and a brother in law, Dominic Abate.
