Robert Gould

Evans, GA – Ronald Gould, 71, loving husband of Pat Gould, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Rev. Forrest Page officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park

Ron served in the United States Army for 22 years before retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. He served during the Vietnam War and several other areas overseas. After retiring from the military, Ron began a career with the United States Postal Service and retired after 20 plus years. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and loved to do woodworking. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons; Curt Meggins (Naomi) of Martinez, GA, Derrick Gould (Hilary) of Huntsville, AL, Lanny Gould of San Francisco, CA, one daughter; Pamela Cobb (James) of Cleveland, GA, six grandchildren; Tori Martin, Kyle Gould, Samantha Gould, Tara Brewer, Daniela Gould, Greyson Meggins, close family friends; Omar and Adriana Lopez and their children, Adrian and Sebastian.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
