Grovetown – Regina Lynn Harveston Allen, departed this life and entered Heaven on May 27, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Andy Menger officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Regina was a New Years baby, born on January 1, 1969. She attended Columbia county schools and the University of Georgia. She worked at Columbia County Elementary and was loved and cherished by the children she taught. Regina was a big supporter of various autism awareness programs, as her son lives with autism each and every day. A Christian lady with a big, kind and forgiving heart, she had fought a brave battle with cancer and won. Her hobbies were scrapbooking, gardening, music, dancing, sunbathing, swimming and spending times with her family and friends. She loved her goddaughter, Bella Grace Cooter, and her loyal dog, John Cena.
Her son, Levi, is the center of her universe and the light of her life. He wanted everyone to know that she is happy, strong, kind and funny, and that he loved his mama so much.
Regina’s favorite quote was “I love the nights I can’t remember with the friends I’ll never forget” and she’ll always be a perpetual 39 ½.
In addition to her son, Levi Steven Allen, she is survived by her mother, Regina Harveston, her former husband and friend, Steve Allen, a brother, Chris Edgar, a sister Debbie Edgar Willis, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Harveston and her birth father, Gus Edgar.
If so desired, memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation at www.wish.org or to the Georgia Regents University Cancer Center at www.gru.edu/cancer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, June 3, 2014 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Her friends arriving on motorcycles are asked to park in the rear of the funeral home.
