Evans, GA – Randy Hogland, 56, loving husband of Lynda Brown Hogland, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Pastor Dave Willis officiating. A private burial will follow.
Randy was born in Augusta, GA and graduated from Hephzibah High School. He was employed by DSM Chemical, where he worked as the Safety Coordinator. Randy was a devout Christian and was a member of Stevens Creek Church. Randy loved his church, his family, and his friends very much but his greatest love was serving the Lord. He did this by lifting up others with a smile, an encouraging word, or a material gift. He lived by his motto “What can I do for you to brighten your day”. Randy had many interest including football, target shooting, paintball, snorkeling, playing guitar, yardwork, NASCAR, or hanging out on the beach. It has been said many times, that Randy was the kindest person you could ever meet.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his parents; Roland and Eunice Hogland, his children; Diana Medo, (Gabriel) of Evans, GA, Thomas Hogland of Evans, GA, Erika Griffin (Jake) of Evans,GA, Matthew Rupp of Miamisburg, OH, three brothers; Steve Hogland (Tammy), Rusty Hogland (Carol), Johnny Hogland, four grandchildren; Braeden Griffin, Rory Griffin, Gabby Rupp, and Connor Rupp.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hogland, Rusty Hogland, Johnny Hogland, Gabriel Medo, Jake Griffin, and Tommy Hogland.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service.
