EVANS – Mr. Peter O. Lerch, 77, entered into rest on January 4, 2011 at the Medical College of Georgia.
Graveside services will be held on Friday afternoon, January 7, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lerch was an Air Force veteran who served with the Strategic Air Command. He was a laboratory technician who worked at the Sickle Cell lab at the Medical College of Georgia, before overseeing the Vascular Endoscopy lab at the VA. He retired in 1982, with 30 years in Civil Service.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Emily Oglesby Lerch. He is also survived by three sons and daughters in law, one daughter and son in law, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
