Augusta, GA – Mrs. Paula J. Pinion, 74, beloved wife of fifty-five years to Fred Pinion left this world to walk with our Lord on Wednesday December 31, 2008 at Doctor’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Monday January 5, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Pastor Rich Bowen officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Pinion worked for Wal-Mart as a receptionist until her retirement in 2005. She received an honor in 2002 for twenty-five years of faithful service to the nursery at New Hope Worship Center. Her family will always cherish her as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Pinion is survived by her four sons, Steven F. Pinion, Ronnie Lee Pinion, Barry Wayne Pinion, and Eddie Ray Pinion; two daughters, Christy Hall and Marianne Ford; her brother, Arthur Nicholson of Sylacauga, AL; her sister, Betty McGowan; her eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Dan McGowan, Anthony Nicholson, Frank Ford, Jason Pinion, Joshua Pinion, and Evan Pinion. Bryan Humenanski will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening January 4, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel.
