Patricia Barnett Benedetto

Augusta – Mrs. Patricia Barnett Benedetto, 91, entered into rest on Sunday, December 6, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Rev. Gary DeMore and Rev. John Kenney officiating.

Mrs. Benedetto was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy. She was a teacher for the Richmond County school system for 30 years, and was a member of the Italian American Club. She had been a of St. John United Methodist Church since 1955, and had recently attended Quest United Methodist Church as well.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 43 years, Harold Barnett, and her second husband of 23 years, Samuel Benedetto, as well as her son, David A. Barnett. She is survived by her son, Daniel M. Barnett (Molly); her daughter,Lindy Barnett Norton (Billy); her
grandchildren, Lynn Rau (Jim), Melissa Davis (Roscoe), David Barnett (Christan), Allison Varnum (Jimbo), and Emily Norton; her great grandchildren, Kristina Hensley (Howard), Zoe and Holt Davis, Harrison, Collins, and Baylor Ann Barnett, Ron and Doug Rau, as well as eight great great grandchildren and two great great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Augusta Salvation Army and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
