Maudy Esther Lysse

AUGUST, Ga. - Mrs. Maudy Esther Lysse, 78, beloved wife of 57 wonderful years of Harry Lysse, entered into rest on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Platt's Belair Road Chapel with Pastor Phillip Hamilton officiating. Mrs. Lysse was born August 21, 1930 in Java, Indonesia and lived in various places around the world. She moved to Evans, Georgia in July 1993, and was the former Ms. Senior Augusta of 2000. She was a member of the Harmony River Chorus, Sweet Adelines International of Augusta, and attended Grace Fellowship Church, where she played piano. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Astrid Lysse Bunning, Jeroen Lysse, Laurence Lysse, Steven Lysse, her grandchildren, William Ryan Lysse, Jon Paul Bunning, Michael David Lysse, Daryl Todd Bunning, Marc Alan Lysse, Shaun David Lysse, Robert Phillip Lysse, and Shane Derek Lysse and 1 great grand daughter, Ellis Ryan "Ellie" Lysse and her mother, Mary Elizabeth Reichart Lysse, two brothers, John Balfour von Burleigh and Wernard Balfour von Burleigh, and two sisters, Gritthy Batelaan and Dallea Stokkermans.
