Mary Ellen Lindler Wilson

Augusta, GA – Mary Ellen Lindler Wilson, beloved wife of George C. Wilson for 44 years, entered into rest on Sunday, May 29, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Platt’s Funeral Home Crawford Avenue Chapel with Rev. David B. Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of the late Daniel Evans Lindler and Carrie Lucille Eargle Lindler.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her brother, Earl Lindler (Margie) of Little Mountain, SC, two sisters, Rebecca Lindler of Little Mountain, SC, Martha Lindler of North Augusta, SC, nephews Kenneth Lindler (Libby), Aubrey Lindler (Lisa), John Paul Lindler (Karen), niece, Ruth Anne Lindler, four grand nephews, and two grand nieces. Mary is also survived by her husband’s nephew, Sheridan Wilson and his family.

Mary was a native of Little Mountain, SC. She graduated from Newberry College and was a teacher in South Carolina, American Dependent School in France, and in Georgia before her marriage. She was a member and attended Sunday School at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
