Mary Ann Hinton Darden

Mrs. Mary Ann Hinton Darden entered into rest on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at University Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Marvin United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel from 1:00 until 3:00.

Mrs. Darden was a native of Columbia County. She worked as a media specialist for the Columbia County school system for over 30 years before her retirement and was a long-time member of Marvin United Methodist Church. She loved to travel to the beach and the mountains with her group of friends. Her friends and family will remember her as a loyal friend and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Mike Hinton (Elizabeth), her grandchildren, Quillan Free and Bryson Free and a brother, Lanier Gray (Boots). She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mary Gray, and her husbands, Mike Hinton, and Bernard Darden.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marvin United Methodist Church, 4400 Wheeler Road, Martinez, Ga. 30907.
