Mary Alice Eubanks Mundy Claxton

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Mary Alice Eubanks Mundy Claxton, 92, wife of the late Mr. Robert Otis Mundy and her second husband the late Mr. Milledge A. Claxton, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Platt’s Crawford Ave. Chapel with the Reverend David Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Claxton was employed as a manager of shipping and handling at Davidson’s Department Store and later worked in sales at Cullum’s Department Store.

Mrs. Claxton is survived by her two sons, Robert Claude Mundy (Becky), Tony Otis Mundy (Diane); three daughters, Geri Boyette, Gloria Rhodes (Dr. John Rhodes), Cynthia Mundy Goins, step-daughter, Nancy Anne Claxton; several grandsons; two granddaughters; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Claxton’s grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Augusta Regional Office, 106 SRP Drive, Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
