Margaret Earlle Olson

North Augusta, SC---Mrs. Margaret Earlle Olson, 83, beloved wife of Herbert Preston Olson, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Thurman Norville officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Olson was a native of Augusta, GA. She was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was also a member of the Riversedge Sertoma Club and was a lifetime member of St. James United Methodist Church. Mrs. Olson was a Medical Secretary and retired from the Medical College of Georgia after 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George B. Sanders and Thelma Virginia Stephens Sanders, one sister, Clara Sanders Pitts and three brothers, Ralph Sanders, George Sanders and William Sanders.
In addition to her husband, to whom she was married for 28 years, she is survived by her daughter, Tonya Garner Cason (Clark) of Augusta, GA, two grandchildren, Brittany Cason Johnston (Harris) of Augusta, GA and Nicholas Vincent Cason of Charleston, SC, two great granddaughters, Virginia Margaret Johnston and Cason Anne Harris Johnston and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Cason, Harris Johnston, Joel Sanders, Alex Sanders, Preston Olson and Robert Olson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 11:00 am until time of services at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
