Marca June Thompson

Marca June Thompson entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born June 10, 1937 in Claxton, GA to the late Woodrow Floyd and Reba Stewart Floyd.

Marca is survived by her husband of 65 years; James “Jim” Thompson, son; Joseph Thompson (Kim), grandchildren; Jillyan Beasley (Cody), Jayme Angel (Brandon), Cash Thompson (Ashley), Lauren Rathburn (David), Ashlee Thompson, and Jessica Thompson, great grandchildren; Luke Thompson, June Beasley, and Austin Angel.

In addition to her parents, Marca is predeceased by her sons; James “Buzzy” Thompson, Jr., Jeffrey Thompson, daughter; Janice Thompson, brothers; Larry Floyd, Waldo Floyd, and Hubert Davis.

Visitation for Marca will be 7-9 PM Friday, October 6, 2023 at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 North Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809. 

Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 7, 2023 in the chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Road Chapel, with burial to follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA 30813.
