Ms. Linda Sabatelle Vaiden Augusta, GA – Ms. Linda Sabatelle Vaiden, 64, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Joe Bowden officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Born in Jacksonville, FL, Ms. Vaiden is the daughter of Peter E. & Vivian Cowart Sabatelle. She spent her childhood in San Juan, Puerto Rico but was a longtime resident of Augusta. Ms. Vaiden was a graduate of Augusta College where she received a degree in Psychology. Ms. Vaiden was an avid bridge player with the CSRA Bridge Club. She enjoyed traveling with her fellow bridge club members to out of town tournaments. Ms. Vaiden earned the rank of Gold Life Master. She was also an accomplished investor and spent much time following the stock market. One of her special interests was art. She loved to paint, draw, and work with pastels. She also spent several years volunteering with the Easter Seals. Ms. Vaiden truly enjoyed and appreciated the simple things in life. Ms. Vaiden is survived by her two daughters, Kelly Rothert (Doug) and Vivian Vaiden; and her seven grandchildren, Brittany, Paige, Torey and Carlyn Rothert, Rachel & Ella Beal, and David Harbeson, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Doug Rothert, Rucker Vaiden, Andy Silman, and Randy Butler. If so desired memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation of Georgia, 1775 The Exchange SE, Suite 200, Atlanta, GA 30339. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning, October 9, 2010 from 10:00 until service time.
