Lenora Charlene Brown

Evans, GA – Lenora Charlene Brown, entered into rest on Sunday, January 1, 2017.

She had a vibrant personality and was very active with many interests her whole life. She was a high school cheerleader, a member of her high school basketball team, and very supportive of all school activities. As a young person, she was the pianist at Crawford Avenue Baptist Church, retired from Fort Gordon as a management analyst, and retired from the Medical College of Georgia as a Medical Technologist.

After two retirements, she later became a residential appraiser and owned her own business. She was a former president of the Augusta Junior Woman’s Club, an avid golfer, and tennis player. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta and faithfully attended Jane Howington’s Bible Study at Reid Memorial.

She is survived by her loving husband, James H. Brown, daughter; Cynthia Hale and husband Robert, son; Len Tanner, mother; Frances Crouch, sister; LaVerne Coleman, granddaughters; Ashley Ufret and husband Alex, Cayla Hale, and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at First Baptist Church of North Augusta with Rev. Roy Kiser officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
