Laura Gauthier Mrs. Golden

Martinez- Mrs. Laura Gauthier Golden passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the age of 82.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Michael Cash officiating. The family will remain at the graveside following the service to receive friends.

Mrs. Golden is survived by her daughter, Susan G. James (Brian), and her beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Mallory and Meredith James. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Golden, and her brother, R. Joseph Gauthier, Jr.

She was born and raised in August, Georgia, and graduated from Tubman High School, Augusta Junior College and Mercer University. She continued her education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Religious Education degree. She lived most of her adult life in Atlanta and was a longtime member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church.
