Laura Derr Green

Martinez, GA – Laura Derr Green, 43, entered into rest on Monday June 29, 2009 at Heartland Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 1, 2009 at Platt’s Belair Rd. chapel with Dr. Kevin Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Laura enjoyed reading, camping, fishing, knitting, crocheting afghans, and spending time with her family. She was a member of National Hills Baptist Church. Laura graduated from Evans High School in 1983 and attended Augusta Technical College. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and niece.

Survivors include mother Ruth E. Shuler of Martinez, GA, two sons; Daniel Christopher Green and Robert Jacob Green both of Grovetown, GA, one brother; Barry N. Derr of Harlem, GA, one sister; Kathy L. Murphy and husband Ken of Harlem, GA, paternal grandmother; Lorraine Weatherholtz, special nieces; Megan Cox, Lizzie Derr, Sarah Murphy, Heather Murphy, great niece; Chloe Grace Cox, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM until the time of service.
