Julita Yerro Deslate

Mrs. Julita Yerro Deslate, 77, of Evans, GA, wife of the late Jose Deslate, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Rd, Grovetown, GA. The family will receive friends at Platt’s Funeral Home, 337 North Belair Road, Evans, GA on Wednesday evening, December 7th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday morning, December 8th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

Julita was born on June 16, 1945 in Tayabas, Philippines and is the daughter of the late Edmundo Yerro and Bienvenida Abrigo Yerro. She loved raising her children and grandchildren as well as traveling the world. She enjoyed playing mahjong and bingo with her kaibigans (friends) as well as watching her TFC and GMC.

She is survived by her children, Jose Deslate Jr. (Jaclyn) and Patricia Deslate Hatcher (Edwin); her grandchildren: Alexis and Ava Deslate, Edwin Jose Hatcher, and Caitlyn Jones (Joseph); great-grandchildren: Davis and Josephine Jones; as well as siblings, Alex Yerro, Anieeta Gavierez and Victoria Briones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Cassandra Deslate.
