John R. Walden

Augusta, GA---Mr. John R. Walden, 83, entered into rest on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 3:00 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel, with Reverend David Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens in Grovetown, GA.
Mr. Walden was retired from the Graniteville Company and was a member of the Belair Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Dollie H. Walden, son, Aaron Bennett “Benny” Walden, brother, Leon Walden and sister, Margie W. Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lucille G. Walden, son, Troy Walden and wife Juanita, all of Augusta, daughter, Carolyn W. Frazier and husband, Larry, of Martinez, six grandchildren, Erich Frazier and wife Tammy, Mark Frazier, Marcia F. Jiminez and husband, Bill, Gregg Walden, Jamie Walden and wife Brittany, Aaron Walden and wife, Alecia and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 15, 2009, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
Pallbearers will be Erich Frazier, Mark Frazier, Shawn Frazier, Gregg Walden, Aaron Walden and Bill Jiminez.
