John Forrest Stewart

John Forrest Stewart, 85, beloved husband of 64 years of Lillian Kelly Stewart, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at West Acres Baptist Church with Pastor Larry C. Harmon officiating. Interment to follow at West View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 AM until service time.

Mr. Stewart worked in civil service at Fort Gordon until his retirement. He was a long-time member of West Acres Baptist Church where he was a member of the Love Sunday School Class. Mr. Stewart served his country in the United States Army in Korea. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and “Papa”.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Stewart is survived by his daughter, Kelly Stewart Sparks; his grandchildren, Shana Beckett (Bryan), Lauri Glabas (Thomas), Brian Sparks, II, and Brandon Sparks; and his great-grandchildren, Brylee Glabas, Autumn Sparks, and Khloe Glabas.

Pallbearers will be Rickey Stewart, Wayne Stewart, Brian Sparks, II, Brandon Sparks, Bryan Beckett, and Thomas Glabas. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Love Sunday School Class and the Hardee’s Coffee Club.
