Augusta, GA– Rev. Jimmie L. Johnson, 80, entered into rest on Monday, February 27, 2017 in Waynesboro, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Rev. Ron Drawdy and his son Dr. Rick Johnson officiating. Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Rev. Johnson retired as the Pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church

Rev. Johnson is survived by his son, Dr. Rick Johnson (Elizabeth); his daughter, Teri Williams (Clint); his brothers, Charles Johnson (Mary), and Marvin Johnson (Gail); his grandchildren, Anna Bullard (Noah), Erin Banks (Canaan), Micah Williams (Candice), Jonathan Johnson (Alice), Ruth English (Mason), Isabella Johnson, Kelly Johnson, and Jacob Lawrence (Sara); and by his great-grandchildren, Ellie, Ava, and Lily Bullard, Hadley and Scarlett Williams, River and Scout Banks, Evolet Johnson, and Drake and Alex Lawrence.

Pallbearers will be Clint Williams, Micah Williams, Jon Johnson, Darin Johnson, Tyler Torek, and Seth Torek

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
