EVANS, GA – Jason Emery Shepard, 22, of Evans, GA, died Wednesday evening, August 24, 2011 at Doctor’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday August 28, 2011 at Platt’s Belair Rd. Chapel, with Russell Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be private.

Jason attended Columbia County Schools, including Evans High School.

Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend Jason is survived by his parents, Kim and Chad Powell; one sister, Desiree Shepard, 25, of Conyers, GA; one brother, Christian Shepard, 24 and wife Valerie , of North Augusta, SC; a nephew, Dakota Curry, of Conyers, GA; two nieces, Jaycee and Grace Lewis, of North Augusta, SC.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM unit service time at the funeral home.
