James Rodney Mr. Strasser, Jr.

EVANS, GA – James Rodney Strasser, Sr., 75, loving husband of Martha Strasser, entered into rest on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Doctor’s Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Road Chapel with Pastor Larry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Jim was born in Logansport, IN on December 26, 1938. Jim served in the United States Army from 1958 – 1961. Jim began a career with the United States Postal Service and retired in 1995 with over 32 years of service. Jim enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and tinkering with most anything. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Rodney Strasser (Debbie) of Acworth, GA; Dale Strasser (Gretchen) of North Augusta, SC; Andy Strasser (Casey) of Evans, GA; nine grandchildren, Max Strasser, Trey Strasser, Sam Strasser, Drew Strasser, Marcella Strasser, Cameron Strasser, Mary Cason Holton, Clay Strasser, and Allie Strasser; one great grandchild Ansley Lucas; 2 brothers, Roger Strasser of Twelve Mile, IN; Tim Strasser of Fulton, IN; and one sister, Dixie Strasser of Logansport, IN. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Geraldine Strasser, and one brother Dale Strasser.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
