James “Kirk” Caldwell, 61, loving husband of 30 years to Twana Bryant Caldwell, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2017, at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Dewain French officiating.
Kirk was born in Phenix City, AL and graduated in 1974 from Pacelli High School in Columbus, GA. He was a 1978 graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked in Quality Control at Club Car for 20 years, and for the past four years at John Deere. Kirk was a passionate golfer, enjoyed camping, and loved his family deeply. He was a humble, gentle soul with a servant’s heart.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his son, Austin Bryant Caldwell, sisters, Carol Caldwell (Stuart Edmondson), Kathi Segrest (Phil), step brother Frank Mullis (M.A.). Kirk was preceded in death by his parents, the late James Howard Caldwell and Eddie Lucille Kuykendall.
Pallbearers will be Gregg Anderson, John Bryant, Eddie Dees, Henry Downs, Patrick Downs, Frank Mullis, Ayden Timani and Brandon Timani.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel at the cemetery.
