James F. Park, Jr.

Mr. James F. Park, Jr., 87, entered into rest on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

Mr. Park served as President of the Citizens and Southern Bank of Dublin, GA for 21 years. Additionally, he served 6 years in the U.S. Army. He was active in the Dublin business community having served as President of the Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce for two terms; President of the Easter Seals Society for two terms; a Dublin Board of Education member for five years and board member of the United Way for six years. He was a Deacon in the First Baptist Church in Dublin, GA and served in the Harlem Baptist Church as well.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Park. Survivors include three daughter, Cindy Park, Debbie Bilek and Judy Fulford; six grandchildren, Andrew Bilek, Joseph Bilek, Lucas Bilek, Regan Ketchum, Jacob Totaro and Josie Fuford; one great-grandson, Coy Ketchum and another on the way.

The family wishes to thank Keysville Nursing Home for their wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Golden Harvest Food Bank in Augusta, GA.

The family will receive friends at Platt's Funeral Home 337 N. Bel Air Rd. Evans, GA 30809 on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10am.
