Hugh E. Gasque

Evans, GA – Hugh E. Gasque, 86, husband of 40 years to Peggy Gasque, entered into rest on Sunday, January 6, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at West Acres Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Harmon officiating.

Hugh was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during WWII. He retired from Savannah River Site after 35 years, where he worked as an Equipment Specialist. Hugh was a charter member and former Grand Master of the Belvedere Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of West Acres Baptist Church and the Love Sunday School Class. Hugh enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Blanche Schultz and husband Clint of Aiken, SC, Cathy Randall and husband Wayne of Claxton, GA, two grandchildren, Travis Randall of Athens, GA, Jarad Randall of Savannah, GA, one brother, Boyd Gasque of Lumberton, NC, one sister, Louise Altman of Mullins, SC. Hugh was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Mae Gasque, and son, Keith Gasque.
