Hattie "Libby" Rivers Allen

Mrs. Hattie Libby Rivers Allen, a devoted mother and grandmother, 75, entered into rest on November 27, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Father Vasile Bitere officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She retired from McDuffie County Board of Education in 2012 to become the caregiver of her first grandchild.
Survivors include her husband, Rusty, her two daughters Catherine Allen and Lauren Allen Jenkins (Bradley) and her two granddaughters, who were her pride and joy, Josie Elizabeth and Bonnie Kate Jenkins. Other survivors include her brother, Jim Rivers (Robbie), mother-in-law, Reba Allen, sister-in-law, Vicki Jones (Wayne), and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Catherine Rivers, her brother, Nick Rivers, and sister, Tasia Rivers Capp.

Jason Rivers, Tab Ansley, Guy Poss, Ethan Ashley, Carson Ansley, and Steve Kitchings will serve as pallbearers.

Donations may be made in her honor to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm with the Trisagion at 6:30 pm in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel.
