Fred Freddie Wilkerson, Jr.

Augusta,GA. Mr. Fred “ Freddie” Wilkerson Jr. age 85, husband of the late Virginia Wilkerson entered into rest at University Hospital, Wednesday, December 23, 2009.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Crawford Ave. Chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Christie officiating. Interment will be private.
Mr. Wilkerson retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 45 plus years of service. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, and was a member of the Brown Sunday School Class. He served as Treasurer and Deacon at the church for twenty five years. Mr. Wilkerson loved to help other people, he will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include, one son, Robert “Bob” Wilkerson and his wife Dianne of N. Augusta, one brother, W.C. Wilkerson and his wife Mary of N. Augusta. A longtime friend and companion, Dot Eubanks. Two grandchildren, David Wilkerson and his wife Traci, Elissa Rosenburg and her husband Jason. Five great grandchildren , Morghan Wilkerson, Bryce Wilkerson, Zachary Rosenburg, Lainey Rosenburg and Ruby Rosenburg.
Pallbearers will be, Frank Wilson, Zack Patrick, Richard Little, and Joe McKenney.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 26, 2009 from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m.
