Erich Frazier

August 30, 1971 — January 26, 2022

Erich Frazier passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Known as the “Augusta Historian” Erich was a lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia. Born to Larry and Carolyn Frazier on August 30, 1971 He was a graduate of Evans High School and received his Bachelor’s in History from Augusta State University, where he was a protegè of Dr. Ed Cashin, the authority on the history of the CSRA. Erich worked as a Technician Support Specialist for Electrolux, earning many close friendships and technical knowledge which was an interest of his. His true passion, aside from fine cigars and ice cold PBR was the history of the CSRA area, and you could not and would not find anyone more knowledgeable about our community. He shared his love and knowledge of history, of Augusta and the military with anyone who asked and inquired, and with his loss the CSRA loses a part of its heritage and history. Augusta and its environs lost a chronicler of its history who can never be replaced, and his family and friends have lost a part of their hearts.
Erich is preceded in death by his father, Larry Frazier, his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Beatrice Frazier and maternal grandparents, Roy and Lucille Walden. Erich is survived by his wife, Tammy Frazier, son, Madison Harrell, daughters, Allison and Lauren Frazier, mother, Carolyn Frazier, brother, Mark (Nikki) Frazier, sister, Marcia (William) Jiminez and several nephews, Shawn Frazier, Will Cruise, Reed Cruise, Brandon Rowe, Christian Rowe, Adam Duran, and nieces Victoria Harrell and Katlin Burdette and many more. Pallbearers will be William Jiminez, Shawn Frazier, Madison Harrell, Christian Rowe, Will Cruise and Reed Cruise.
