Eric E. Larson

LTC. Eric E. Larson, US Army (RET), entered into rest on Thursday, January 29, 2024 at Fort Eisenhower Army Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with Pastor Devin Mitchem officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

Eric was born in Berkeley, California to George and Marianne Larson. He joined the Army and served for almost 30 years before retiring. During these years, he participated in Desert Storm, and served with the Army Reserve 3297th USAH and the 382nd Army field hospital. He attended the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. He went on to a second career as a nurse and retired for the second time after 25 years at University Hospital.

His nursing career was more than a career. His devoted passion for his patients and caring for them was always something he spoke highly of. He adored his patients and their families. He enjoyed traveling with his family and would always run into someone he knew from his career in nursing and was well known for his bright colorful scrubs.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, his daughter, Heather Stanton, his grandchildren, Braden DeChant and Arianna Stanton, and his brother and sisters, Jeffrey Haynes, Elanor Haynes and Elizabeth Haynes.
