Emman Ackles Mrok Servant

Mrs. Emma Ackles Mrok Servant went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 22, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund F. Mrok, Sr. (killed in WWII), and also her beloved husband of 57 years, Louis F. Servant, of Augusta.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 24th at 10:00 am, with funeral services immediately following at 10:30 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Road Chapel with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating.
She attended North Augusta Schools. She was affectionately known as Miss Emma, especially by those with whom she worked for almost 40 years at the U.S. Postal Service, from which she retired in 1984 as manager of employee & labor relations.
Louis & Emma were long-time, faithful members of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Marion Williams (Howard) of Evans, Ga; her son, Ed Mrok (Carolyn) of Germantown, Tn. She was Granny Emma to her 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Mickey Paisley, of North Augusta, S.C.
The family would like to give their heartfelt gratitude to her care givers from ResCare: Yakita, Lynn, Marion, Anna, Jewel, Mamie, Doris and Elaine.
