Elizabeth C. Betty Walter

Augusta, GA – Elizabeth C. “Betty” Walter, wife of Daniel B. Walter died at Trinity Hospital on July 31, 2012 after a brief illness.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 PM today, August 2, 2012 at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Rev. Scott Winchel serving as celebrant. Burial to follow in Westover Memorial Park.

Betty was a native Augustan and a lifelong member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, daughter, Mary W. Dressel (Bobby); two sons, Daniel B. Walter, Jr. of Atlanta and Michael E. Walter of Greenville, SC; two granddaughters, Brittany Ann Walter of Greenville, SC and Brie Walter Storey of Columbia, SC; and brother, James F. Rucker of North Augusta.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen R. Brodie, Emmie C. Wilkins, and Helen C. Mears; and brothers, John T. Rucker, I.G. Rucker, and Robert J. Rucker.
