Elizabeth Betty Daniel

Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Daniel, 89, of Martinez, entered into rest Wednesday, January 08, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Daniel was born in West Palm Beach, FL to the late Frances E. Johnson and Robert G. Walton, Sr. She is the widow of the late William H. Daniel, Jr. to whom she was married for over 58 years. She graduated in Waynesboro, Ga in 1941 and was an avid basketball player. After 30 years as a master cosmetologist, she retired from J.B. White. Mrs. Daniel enjoyed all phases of work in the church, and was a dedicated Christian who dearly loved the Lord, her family and friends. In later years, she lived with her daughter, Patsy, and son in law, William and she enjoyed each day with her dog, Brandi.
She is survived by her daughters, Billie Welborn (Don) and Patsy Harris (William), her grandchildren, Laurie Mitchell, Dan McLaughlin (Angie), Patrick McLaughlin (Dottie), Chris Van Meter, and Tracy McLaughlin (Heather), as well as nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her great grandson, Parker Davis McLaughlin and her brother, Robert G. Walton, Jr.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00AM until 1:00PM on Friday, January 10, 2014.
