Mr. Earl Morris, beloved husband of Dot Morris, went home to be with his Lord and savior on Friday, December 22, 2017.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at West Acres Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Morris was born on October 27, 1933 to the late Harley Lee Morris and Mary Velma Morris. He was a retired DOT worker after 34 years of service. Mr. Morris also volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of West Acres Baptist Church and a member of the Love Sunday School Class. He was elected Deacon Emeritus of his church and was commonly known to its members as “The Biscuit Man”. He loved fishing and spending time with his family and church family. He was a loving husband, father and Papa.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons; Tommy Morris (Teresa) and Jerry Morris (Tonya), his daughter; Teresa Rush (Bobby), his 9 grandchildren, his 7 added blessings and his 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sara Beasley, and his brothers, Harley Morris Jr. and Robert Cato.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, December 26, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Acres Baptist Church “LOFJ”, 555 Gibbs Road, Evans, GA., 30809 or to Gideons International, 3923 Washington Road, Augusta, GA., 30907.
