Duncan Norris Johnson

Augusta, GA - Duncan Norris Johnson, 72, was called home by the Lord on March 2, 2017.

Duncan is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lynda McCrary Johnson and his children, Duncan Norris Johnson, Jr. (Kaci) of Augusta, Laura Johnson Garrett (Burt) of Evans, and 6 grandchildren, Morgan (14), Hannah (13), Henry (13), Duncan (12), Wayne (10), and John Porter (4).

He was preceded in death by his sister, Henrietta Johnson Lamar, his parents, Laura and CC Johnson, and his beloved mother-in-law, Evelyn “GG” McCrary.

Duncan lived in Augusta, serving as President of Johnson Motor Company for over 40 years. He served on numerous boards in the community and the state until his retirement in 2012 to Brays Island in Sheldon, SC. He will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Funeral services will be private.
