Dorothy Bailey Dot Banks

Augusta, GA – Dorothy (Dot) Bailey Banks passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Dot was born in Augusta, GA on September 13, 1928 to the late Fannie Mae Bailey and Robert Lee Bailey.

Dot married her beloved Husband, Jack Banks in 1964. Together they raised six wonderful sons, Leon C. Banks (Anne), Newberry, SC; John J. Banks, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; Nathaniel B. Banks (Suzanna) of Greenville, SC; William A. Banks (Marsha) of Birmingham, AL; Robert B. Banks of Columbus, GA; and Charles M. Banks of Augusta, GA. Dot is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday June 1, 2017. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Church of the Good Shepherd, 2230 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904, or charity of their choice.
