Evans- Dr. Carl Per Troedsson, age 41, entered peacefully into rest at his home on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 after a heroic battle with melanoma.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. David Arnoldt officiating.
Carl is survived by his wife, Emily Harden Troedsson, and two children, Cameron and Caroline Troedsson of Evans, GA., his father, Nils Troedsson of Dillon, Montana, a brother, Eric Troedsson, his wife, Rebecca and their children, Dillon and Hanna, of Durham, N.C., a sister, Karin Troedsson, her husband, Mike Corrigan and their children, Matthew and Liam, of Napa, CA., and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Troedsson of Jackson of Jackson, Montana.
Carl was a native of Dillon, Montana and graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 1986. He attended Montana State University, before moving to Columbia, S.C. in 1990. He attended the University of South Carolina, where he graduated in 1995. He is a 1999 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. He graduated in 2003 after attending the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta for his residency training in anesthesiology. Carl practiced anesthesiology in Charleston, S.C. with the Trident Anesthesia Group.
He was an active member of the Ski Patrol at Maverick Mountain in Montana, and will be remembered as an avid and talented skier. As an adult, he spent many enjoyable hours flying with his beloved friend, G. Lionel Zumbro. Carl loved spending time with his family. He took great pride in caring for his parents. He will be remembered forever as a loving husband, father and friend.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour after service.
