Candace Louise Williams

Candace Louise Williams of Evans, Ga. entered into rest Sept. 5, 2022 at age 71.

Ms. Williams was born on March 13, 1951 in Washington, Wilkes County, GA to the late Ruffin Orr Williams

and the late Louise Lokey Williams.

She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth “Beth” Williams.

A retired educator of 39 years, there is nothing she loved more than children. Even after retirement, she

volunteered in the schools to continue to make an impact on the lives of the students she loved. She also

enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her fellow educators who became like family.

She was an animal lover; she especially adored her own fur-babies and grand fur-babies.

Ms. Williams is survived by her dear friend of fifty years Carol Murrah (John) and her two god-daughters, Hillary

Murrah of Grovetown, GA and Courtney Murrah of North Augusta, SC.

She is also survived by her cousins Susan Middlebrooks (Tracy) of Modoc, SC, Fred Young (Janet) of Florida

and Randy Young (Nancy) of Washington, GA.

A visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm at Platt’s Funeral Home, 337 North Belair Road,

Evans, GA.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 at 11am at Resthaven Cemetery, Washington, GA.
