Beverly Smith Troutman

St. George Island, FL – Beverly Smith Troutman, 84, beloved wife of the late Fred Gilbert Troutman for 45 years, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Lawrenceville, GA.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta, GA with Dr. Jasper Keith officiating.

Beverly was born on March 22, 1935 in Augusta, GA to loving parents Joseph Daniel Smith and Maude Howell Smith. She and her husband, Gil, resided in Stone Mountain, GA, for over 30 years and enjoyed retirement at St. George Island, FL. Beverly was a vibrant, caring, loving woman, and a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. Beverly especially cherished her role as ‘Bahma’, so affectionately named by her grandchildren. All whom loved her dearly will never forget her charm, grace, and undying love.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Teryl Troutman (Woody) of Kingsport, TN, daughter, Dana Troutman Keith (Jim) of Lawrenceville, GA, four grandchildren Nicholas Keith (Megan) of Atlanta, GA, Eric Troutman of Kennesaw, GA, Zachary Keith of Brookhaven, GA, Kimberly Troutman of Chattanooga, TN, and two sisters, Clyde Smith Walthour of Dallas, GA, and Maxine Smith Sims of Augusta, GA. Mrs. Troutman was preceded in death by her brothers, William Henry Smith and Joseph Daniel Smith of Augusta, GA, and her sisters, Mildred Smith Bell of Augusta, GA, Clara Smith Brown of Evans, GA, and Barbara Smith Bond of Macon, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to National Hills Baptist Church of Augusta, GA.
