Anthony (Tony) Earl Satcher

Anthony (Tony) Earl Satcher, 69 entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 24, 2023.

Tony was born September 15, 1954 in Augusta, GA to the late Julian Earl Satcher and Mamie “Polly” Walker Satcher.

Survivors include his brother; Michael L. Satcher, sister in law; Sheila Murphey Satcher of Greensboro, GA, nieces; Hillary Satcher Statham (Kevin) of Athens, GA, Ashley Satcher Guinn (Chad) of Jacksonville, FL, and many special cousins.

After graduating from high school in 1973, Tony enlisted in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany. After returning home from service, Tony was diagnosed with a mental illness which he endured the rest of his life. The family is thankful that Tony is no longer suffering and is in Heaven.

Tony was a kind and gentle soul. He had a love of photography, cars, music, old movies, old TV shows, and especially good food.

The family would like to thank the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, GA and At Ease Personal Care Home in Augusta, GA for Tony’s care. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 N. Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809.

A graveside service will be held following visitation at 3 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta GA 30906.
