Mr. Alton W. Cirillo, husband of the late Roberta Hennessey Cirillo, entered into rest on Sunday, Ocober 31, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Platts Belair Road chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Mr. Cirillo was born in Quincy, Massachusetts to Vincent and Edith Cirillo. He volunteered for the Army and served in Korea, where he received the Purple Heart as a result of wounds sustained in battle. After his military service was completed, he went to work as a machinist at Instorn Corp for 30 years. In Quincy, he was active in the Moose Lodge and VFW. In 2017, he moved to Georgia. He was an avid golfer and used his experience as a machinist to craft custom golf clubs. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his children; Alton W. Cirillo, Jr and Judi Pittman, his grandchildren; Maghen Phillips (Chris), Danielle Carroll, Paige Crumley, Thomas Hennessey, Sean Hennessey, Paxton Colby and Patrick Colby, his great grandchildren; Alexis Hernandez (Alex), Chase Lathrop, Jaeden Lathrop and Addie Crumley and his great great grandchildren; Avery Hernandez and Evelyn Hernandez. He is also survived by his step children; Cheryl Crumley (Jim), Tom Hennessey (Mary) and Roberta Colby (Matthew). He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Cirillo and a daughter, Mary Lou Cirillo.
