Allen Bernard Reining, 47, of Evans, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 27th. Allen was born on February 4, 1974, in Okinawa, Japan, to Mr. and Mrs. Alvin B. Reining. He was a CRNA for US Anesthesia Partners, having graduated with honors from Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia and Medical College of Georgia. He was well known and respected in the medical communities in Augusta, GA and Dallas, TX. He attended Journey Community Church.
Allen was a devoted and proud husband, father and provider. His love for his family and friends was unparalleled. He married the love of his life, Kelli Wilson Reining, on May 3, 1997. This coming Monday, they would have celebrated 24 years of marriage. He adored Kelli and their marriage was a beautiful love story and example to others. They were best friends, soulmates, partners in crime, and enjoyed every aspect of life together. Allen and Kelli were blessed with 4 children: Hannah (21), Maggie (19), Caleb (18), and Carsen (16), all of Evans. His children were the pride of his life and what drove his heart.
Allen was so smart and loved to challenge himself in education, home building, and politics. He could build, fix or do anything that he set his mind to. He was the kindest and most caring person you could ever meet. He loved to be with his family and friends. He loved to have fun and had a lifetime of friendships with so many people. He never met a stranger and could talk to anybody. Allen’s smile, laughter, wisdom, warmth, and love will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife and 4 children, Allen is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Alvin and Nancy Reining of Grovetown; brothers Alvin (Sharon) of Murfreesboro, TN and Gerald of San Antonio, TX; a sister Becky Fulcher (Wayne) of Evans; Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wilson of Tignall; Al and Cheryl Rhodes of Roswell; and nieces and nephews Ryan, Cavan, Alexander, Jordan, Kelsey, Alicia, Cole, Grey, and Ivey.
Funeral services will be held at Platt’s Funeral Home in Evans, GA on Saturday, May 1 at 5 p.m. with Rev. Justen Gray officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe page has been established for the educational needs of his children.
