Martinez---Mr. Alfred Floyd Jackson, 79, the beloved husband of the late Margaret Bentley Jackson entered into rest on July 31, 2015 at Harrington Park Health and Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral services will be Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00AM at Platt’s Funeral Home Chapel, 337 N. Belair Road, Evans, GA with the Rev. Joey Thompson, officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Jackson was born in Sandersville, Georgia and he retired as the owner of Bentley & Jackson Texaco. He was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church where he served has a deacon emeritus. He enjoyed being outside and working in his garden. Mr. Jackson also was a large Georgia Tech fan and loved to play golf.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his five daughters; Gail Cannell (Michael), Beverly Pitzer, Ginger Morris (Dan), Sherri Hampson ( Darrell) and Denise Lowe (Chris). He is also survived by a brother, Alton Jackson, and a sister Ruby Wren. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Wesley and Casey Cannell, J.P.and Will Pitzer, Kelley McKenney (Brett), Danielle and Ashley Morris, Kristin and Kaitlin Hampson, Andrew and Nicholas Lowe. He is also survived by Linda Bralley, who was a special part of his life.
Other than his wife, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents C. Bunyan Jackson and Reba Burgamy Jackson. His siblings, Jewell, Alvin, C.B., and Cecil Jackson, Dorothy Byce, Catherine Burke and Lillian Wright.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Cannell, J.P. Pitzer, Andrew Lowe, Will Pitzer, Brett McKenney and Kevin Bralley.

The family will receive friends at Platt’s Funeral Home on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from the hours of 6:00 to 8:00PM.
