The beloved Alan Noah Habegger passed peacefully into glory amidst loved ones the morning of October 5th, 2023. Alan was born on February 22nd, 1941 in a small rural Swiss community of Berne, Indiana. He was 82 years old. He is preceded by his parents Sylvan and Lucy Habegger. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carole Maners, sons Christopher (Joyce) and Corey Habegger, brothers Roger and Lorin Habegger, sister Nancy Habegger, and three grandchildren Kristin, Chase, and Logan.
Alan was very responsible and succeeded in all his endeavors. He served his country in the U.S Navy for 4 years. After the military, he pursued his career in the poultry industry and through hard work advanced to the CEO and Vice President of a successful multi-complex poultry production, processing, and distribution facility.
He was also a former President of the Georgia Poultry Federation and later served as a consultant in a joint US/Russia venture to upstart a poultry operation in Russia which through his guidance became very successful. Throughout Alan’s career and personal life, it seemed people were always referring to him as their friend. He was gifted to have an innate ability for leadership and personability. Through the course of his life, whether for military, business, or leisure, he was blessed to have travelled across the U.S. and the world with his beloved wife. He was humble and was never one to boast. All that he met were treated with respect. He was a man of unwavering integrity, honesty, and compassion.
Above all, Alan was a loved husband, father, grandfather, deacon, and friend to many. He instilled the values of godliness, faithfulness, honesty, integrity, hard work, determination, and compassion with his family and others. Alan will leave a lasting legacy for his family and those who were in his sphere of influence. He was deeply loved and will be truly be missed by all who loved him, but he has even greater endeavors remaining in the kingdom of heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
