Wayne Daniel

E. Wayne Daniel, 74, of Evans, passed away on October 15th, 2022 in Evans, GA.

Wayne was born in Dawson Georgia to Dr. Ernest F. Daniel and Ruby Daniel on April 11, 1948.

He went to school at Richmond Academy and Georgia Southern. 

He married Victoria M. Daniel on June 1, 2007 in Evans, Georgia at Warren Baptist Church. He worked as a Hospital Administration for Doctor’s Hospital for 37 years where he was administrative employee of the year. He served seven years in the United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam War era. He was involved in Mills Tract Hunting Club, Bartram Trail Golf Club, Wounded Warriors, and a Member of Warren Baptist Church. Also a member of the Confederate Round Table and the Columbia County Republican Party.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Dr. Ernest F. Daniel and Ruby Daniel. Wayne was a wonderful father and grandfather and is survived by his spouse Victoria M. Daniel, children Audra Elizabeth Daniel Tedesco (Larry Tedesco), Erika Hughes (Dr. Mathew Hughes), Kasey Shuler (Mattox Shuler), grandchildren Alexandra Tedesco, Hannah Tedesco, Jackson Tedesco, Ellie Shuler, Sara Shuler, Weston Hughes, Blakely Hughes and his dog Dixie. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and all sports. He made everyone around him laugh!

Memorials may be given to National Brain Tumor Society (Meningioma Research Fund)

Visitation will be held from 10 AM till 12 Noon Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Platts Funeral Home 337 North Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809 with a memorial service at 12 Noon in the chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home with Pastor David Dillard of Warren Baptist, officiating.
