Sylvia Outley Clark

Sylvia Outley Clark, 71, beloved wife of Eugene M. (Gene) Clark, entered into rest on November 3, 2023.


Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.


Mrs. Clark was born in Augusta and graduated from the Academy of Richmond County. She went on to work at Augusta College in human resources and at Kennesaw State in the MBA program. Mrs. Clark was a dedicated member of Reid Memorial and was a member of the choir and started the Hearts for Heroes Mission at Reid in 2009. She also served on the diaconate and missions committee. She loved supporting veterans and volunteered at the Fisher House and would welcome the troops at Fort Gordon as when they returned from their deployments.


In addition to her husband, Mrs. Clark is survived by her children, Erica Clark and Derek Clark (Alex); her grandchildren, Price and Anna Grace Parker and Layla and Maris Holsenback; her brother, Monty Outley; her stepmother, Bobbie Hughes Outley; and a special niece and caregiver, Sarah Outley.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church Hearts for Heroes Mission, 2261 Walton Way, Augusta, GA, 30904.


Members and spouses of the One Day in May Circle are invited to sit with the family for the service.
