Rebecca "Becky" Kay Parada

May 14, 1955 — November 16, 2023

Rebecca Kay “Becky” Parada, 68, of Evans, GA passed peacefully with her family by her side on November 16, 2023. Our grief is lessened knowing that she is now with her son, Steven Parada.

She was born in Evansville, Indiana to John and Mary Dockery on May 14, 1955. She married Oscar Parada on June 10, 1974 in Los Angeles, CA.

At the age of 5, Becky moved to Los Angeles, California where she attended school. In 1971, she met Oscar Leonel Parada. They married in Los Angeles, California on June 10, 1974. After many years of living in LA, the Parada family moved to Tacoma, Washington  in 1979  to join family that resided there. They lived in Fort Worth, Texas for two years before moving to Evans, Georgia where she has resided for 34 years.

Becky was a homemaker. She was dedicated to her children and husband. She enjoyed shopping, watching the children play soccer, cross-stitching, family birthdays and Christmas celebrations. She enjoyed spending time with the dogs, especially her Pomeranian and Chihuahua, and travelling.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar Parada; daughter, Mary (Eddie) Carner of Henderson, KY; sons, Oscar (Jenny) Parada III of Harlem, GA, John (Teresa) Parada of Edgefield, SC and Carlos Parada of Evans, GA; sisters, Tonya Dockery and Dorothy Moss both of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Amanda Tapp of Henderson, KY, Noah Parada and JJ Parada both of Evans, GA and Icelynn Parada and great-grandchildren, Monreya and Seleya Tapp of Henderson, KY and future daughter-in-law, Angela Maritza Escobar Perez of San Salavador, El Salvador.
