Pace Barnes Pruitt

Pace Barnes Pruitt, age 69, entered into rest on Saturday, August 14, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Kay Elliott Pruitt.

Pace was born in Smyrna to the late Rex Pruitt and Jeanne Johnson Pruitt. Ultimately calling Augusta home, Pace graduated from Augusta Prep and furthered his education with a History Degree from Augusta College. He was a long time member of the Augusta Country Club. Always eager to learn, Pace was a lifelong student of history, avid reader, and great story teller.

He is survived by his brother in law, Robert Scott Elliott (Debbie); niece, Blair Elliott Trefz (Jason); nephew, Robert Clayton Elliott; great nephew, Finn Trefz; special friend, Lisa Pickrell; and his two faithful canine companions, Grommitt and Tartufo.

Services will be private.
